FitVine Wine Athlete - Becca Chilczenkowski

Ever since Becca found CrossFit in 2011 through her now husband, she has been hooked. Growing up always in sports, playing both soccer and basketball at the collegiate level, she needed something to fuel her competitive side once college was over. CrossFit became that outlet, and since then, Becca has advanced as an athlete and turned CrossFit into her career.

She decided to quit her job to follow her passion about a year ago and now helps manage O’Hare CrossFit in Franklin Park, IL. She spends her days coaching and training tirelessly with the goal of becoming a games athlete in the coming years. Becca has been to Regionals once with her team in 2012, finishing 9th and then decided to start competing as an individual. She finished 20th as an individual at the North Central Regionals in 2013, and finished 8th in the Open last year (2014), which sent her to Regionals again as an individual, where she placed 13th overall.

She also likes to test her training at local competitions and other big competitions in the off-season. Last year at Wodapalooza (2014), her team placed 1st overall, and this year she qualified and traveled to California for the OC Throwdown in January and placed 21st as an individual.

In 2015, she has to forego her Opens/Regionals season due to family obligations, but she is planning to take this as an opportunity and use the time to train her weaknesses to become one of the top in the region next year. Be sure to look out for her at some of the big competitions coming up!
